Hoop Nation strives to give your team(s) the best experience possible when you attend one of our events. We understand when a team forfeits or no-shows that might keep you from receiving one of your "guaranteed" games. We will do our best to make your game up or provide some type of compensation. A forfeit does not automatically constitute refunds and refunds of admission entry refunds at the door for spectators who paid. We usually offer some type of discount, but our policy is to make up the game(s) or offer a future refund towards a FREE Entry or discount. There are times, however, where there is just not a team available to play or it might be the last game of the day and again, no team available. We will do our best to accommodate. Also, the spectator fee is based on the "daily admission" and has nothing to do with the amount of games your team was scheduled to play. Sometimes forfeits happen and parents ask since they played only 1 instead of 2 do they get a refund? The answer is NO. If your teams plays 2 or 3 or 4 games in one day we do not charge you admission twice, three times or four times. Therefore the admission entry charge is for a single person per day.
Likewise, since if a team forfeits and YOU want compensation, if YOUR team forfeits than the game will not be made up, and for league we will charge a $75 forfeit fee per game that must be paid before your team plays again and for tournaments there is no money back and no games made up nor refunds given.
Likewise, if you register and pay for a tournament, and you cancel anytime within 3 weeks of the event, we will NOT issue a refund as entry fees are used to pay for venues in advance, order awards, assign officials, scorekeepers, pay for trainers, insurance, and many other costs. The policy of Hoop Nation in this matter is to offer a future entry to a future event, if possible, at a free or discounted price. No person has the authority to offer monetary refunds and all questions or disputes, whether verbal, formal, in writing, or legal, will revert back to the previous statement and policy. Make sure your team is ready to attend all events. We realize "things happen" but likewise we have an event to maintain and bills to pay as well and are not responsible for your "change of mind," "loss of players," "parents can't attend now," "decided to play in a closer event," "got a cheaper deal at another event," my favorite from Dubs-Elite in Arizona "Leo saw me in your event and offered me a FREE entry to play in his now so I don't want to pay the entry fee" or whatever the excuse may be.
